AM: the base mileage continues...10 today.
APM: 1 hour weights/core
PM: 1 hour spin class. i signed up for this class yesterday. it's on MWFs until december. i want to build some extra leg strength. hopefully more leg power will help with the shorter races. also, i want to get in better cycling shape so that i can get to class faster in the mornings. right now i am just a huffing and puffing bike wimp.
i decided last night that i am going to make a return trip to arizona in january and run the rock n roll half marathon again. i had a lot of fun last year, and it's a great time of year to take a break and go somewhere warm. i need to figure out how to race half marathons, so the more the better. i have this slight issue with the half in that i run it at MP instead of HMP (as evidenced by my half splits in the marathon).
some other thoughts on racing next year:
-no more multiple marathons. 1 or 2 at the most. i want to race at my peak, rather than forcing multiple races when i am worn out.
-half marathons will be the focus leading up to grandma's in june. so i will probably run SLC half (if i ever get a check from this year...ha, only kidding! but really i'm serious) and ogden half, then a handful of 5 and 10Ks, but NO MARATHONS until june.
-this is all far away and subject to change dramatically.
