my goal for the 1500m was ~5:00. i've only run this distance one other time (march 2016), and i ran it in 4:54. at the time i had no reference point, but now that i do, i see i was in much better shape then. :) i got boxed in a bit on the second lap, and overall i think i could have pushed it a bit harder. i'll get one more shot before these meets are over.
for the 3000m, i made it in just under 11:00 again, and one second faster than two weeks ago. i'll take it! this was rough, as i had maybe 20 minutes between the two races. the heat started really fast (everyone was still amped up on 1500 pace), and then i spent the rest of the race slowly dying.
it was sooo muggy tonight after raining all day. and we met bret!!
