day off. the highlight of my day was four novocaine injections at the dentist, broken up into three different rounds because i wasn't going numb. the best part was the dentist testing for numbness by shooting his air hose into my nerves.

Sound like a perfect tuneup for the race this weekend! Good luck!!!

If someone novocaine'd your legs, I wonder if that would enhance performance. Would you just be able to run as fast as you could with no pain, or would your legs just uselessly flop around?

i couldn't smile or eat for three hours, so i'm going to go with useless flopping. i'll ask my dentist next time i go in and maybe he can start sponsoring FRB.
