finally some good news after a very frustrating month of lethargy and underperformance. that's not to say that this one race has cured everything, but this was a big boost that i really needed. i knew this was in me somewhere, which is why i've been feeling so frustrated by not being able to bring it out.

there were two other women running right with me the whole time, which helped me to to stay engaged and keep pushing through each lap. i love the lull and smoothness of running this distance on the track. the lap counting keeps me really focused and i like getting the pace feedback so often.

one last note, my 3k split today was 35 seconds faster than last week's 3k. it really was that bad -- so bad i had to take tums (srsly i ate two expired tums for post-race dinner last week)

You know how when you go to enter a race entry and it tells you, "that's not a standard distance for a real race"? That would be funny if Sasha has it programmed so that only 26.2 miles is considered a real race. Little Old Lady!

i'm stoked for you allie, great result. i've been thinking about your frustrations all week, and it has to stink to put in that much effort and not see the fruits. glad it worked out well for this race, and you saw your hard work come out in a solid race. and your consistency of 88s??? that's insane. i can't even tap my foot to music that consistently....

Great pacing. Glad this one went well for you. Love the all comers track races. We had them in Philadelphia, but I haven't checked here.

Cool that you got to run a 5k race on the track. I have never raced on a track. Your splits were incredibly consistent. Great race.

That would be pretty dang cool to run a race on a track. Way to go Allie, way to go! Clap clap clap!!!
