Please tell me that Wedding Bells 5K is a real event. In college we had this great idea that the perfect wedding morning would be a 5K race where everyone threw like $25 into the purse. The catch was that it was a team race - you would have to race with your date and combine the total time. Winning team takes the whole prize. It would really encourage guys to find fast dates. At the time we were all TOTAL dorks, and probably spent hours discussing things like "what would it take to convince Shalane Flanagan to go with me?"

What a year allie!! you rock. I want to run the Wedding Bells 5K -- even though I don't like 5Ks ;-)

You had a really great year Allie! Amazing that you managed to race so well and so often despite your injury set back.

Wedding Bells 5k!! Love it.

I'm totally in the for the Wedding Bells 5K!!! :) That "5K with a restaurant gift certificate as the prize" sounds a little more specific than general :)

You had a great year despite the SF, gives me hope! Glad to have you back.

I want to run your wedding bells 5k!! How fun!! Awesome 9 allie!! Hope your holidays have been fun!

From Nancy on Fri, Dec 30, 2011 at 17:35:30 from

What an awesome year you had. Are you running the Wedding Bells 5K before your wedding, or is it part of your wedding?

From Lily on Fri, Dec 30, 2011 at 19:01:37 from

I love the year out look for 2012! I got a little teary seeing the month of June missing from this year, just remembering. We both need a good year this year without an injury, and a new 5k PR ;)

From Dan on Fri, Dec 30, 2011 at 22:33:37 from

You do rock... never forget!

From Kam on Sat, Dec 31, 2011 at 00:28:43 from

I don't see your WB Ultra in June...

From Kam on Sat, Dec 31, 2011 at 00:29:42 from

But I guess you have to put a lot of emphasis on that wedding bells 5k.

Stay healthy and I will see you at the Riverton Half! I am planning to do a few training runs on the course over the next few months (I will let you know when if you are interested).

What a great year you've had! Even with the awful SF. Looks like 2012 will be a good one, too, especially with a wedding in the works!! Glad you've had some fun holiday travels and parties. :)

That was a great year! Nice to see a friendly face in the cold/dark morning. After I saw you I turned over to Foothill and saw 18 deer! near the stadium...
