6 miles. millcreek loop again. i am really playing with fire by running on ice and hurdling giant snow banks during a taper week. i think i'll stick to running loops around sugarhouse park for the rest of the week.

just need to make it to sunday in one piece...

I agree. Shall I call the mayor and get that path cleared!? I am looking forward to Sunday's race for you!

From Nancy on Tue, Nov 30, 2010 at 21:34:19 from

You are very brave to run in the ice and snow. Be careful!!!

I hate winter. for the record.

Loops around the park sound good to me. Enjoy the sun on Sunday :) I hear CIM is a super-fast course. Are you gonna break a new land speed record in crocks?

From JD on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 00:30:18 from

SHP is a nice option, you're lucky to be so close.

4:30 am thursday?

From Maurine/Miles on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 09:06:18 from

Allie - which race are you doing on Sunday? Good luck - whatever it is.

From Kelli on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 09:58:43 from

You know, I think budget cutbacks are showing their ugly face. The roads were not plowed (aside from the main ones) and none of the sidewalks were shoveled with this last two storms. I have always loved and praised Herriman for keeping the roads clear so I cold run, but it s not the case this year. It is not safe out there!!!

A thaw is coming so that will help, but you be careful!!!!!

Sugarhouse park makes me think about Banbury Cross donuts. Oh man, I need one.

From catherine on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 12:31:38 from

Be careful!

From runningafterbabies on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 14:02:33 from

Very smart move. I've been way too nervous about venturing out there. With no shoulder and 10 percent of home owners NOT shovelling their sidewalks it's just not worth it to me to end up sprawled out on the cement. Are you heading to Cali this weekend?

From auntieem on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 14:36:17 from

Yeah, ice and snow is tricky. But so much better than a treadmill in the end! I do find it hard on the legs, not very restful - but then again I have old (er) legs than you do! Have fun!

From Teena Marie on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 14:47:03 from

I am getting so so so excited for you!!!! :) :) :)

From RAD on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 16:08:06 from

Can't wait for Sunday and to read your report! Good idea to take it easy, I'm sure Julie Esplin could tell you all about how wonderful it is to injure yourself less than a week out from a race you've been training for!

You are amazing Allie! When are you taking off for the warmth?

From flatlander on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 17:10:56 from

Good luck this weekend.

From seeaprilrun on Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 21:59:06 from

From allie on Thu, Dec 02, 2010 at 12:33:02 from

Hi Kelli. How's it going? What? I didn't say anything.

From Kelli on Sat, Dec 04, 2010 at 17:39:48 from

Is this where my mistake was? I can not even remember any more. I have made so many since then.
