8 mile JAJA run. this included a visit to christmas street, but unfortunately most of the lights and inflatables were shut off at that hour.

i was overdressed this morning -- i layered up for sub-20 but it was actually closer to 30 degrees. it was nice to finish up the run feeling warm instead of numb.

I did the same thing. Overdressed. I love Christmas street. Sounds like a good run!

Allie-Burt's up to no good today. Watch it. Nice run.

From RAD on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 15:32:29 from

I was really thinking about 1/2 way through my run (as I was nice and toasty warm) everyone that usually runs outside is going to say it was warm today! Then I'll be mad, because I dressed for it to be Soooo cold. I guess it is better than freezing the whole time.

Allie - i hope you don't mind being asked, but i've always wondered...have you ever run 8 miles?

From Smooth on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 16:29:33 from

JAJA?!!! I didn't think your keyboard does capitals! :) The Christmas street folks need to set their timers to way past 4:45am. :)

Didn't I tell you a heat wave was coming? :)My feet were still numb though...i think it had to do with arthritis or was it the two layers of socks that I wore?!! :)

From Nancy on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 18:01:12 from

Is there a Christmas street in Sugar House? My daughter lives in Ogden and when we ran the Santa Run we saw the Christmas Village. Nice run. I'm glad you had friends to run with.

lysa & RAD - dressing for the weather was tricky this morning. i was wearing the same stuff i wore on monday, but it was almost 15 degrees warmer. toasty!

tara - burt is always up to no good. i saw him this morning with his periscope.

JD - that's kind of nosy of you, but i'll answer it anyway: i've never run 8 miles and i don't plan on doing it any time soon.

smooth - my keyboard allows capitals on three occasions: JAJA, JD and TOU.

nancy - christmas street is on 1500 east and 1700 south in sugarhouse. every house it totally decked out with lights, music, moving reindeer, inflatables, etc. it's a cul-de-sac neighborhood and they have a big christmas tree in the middle of the circle (whoville style).

From Rob Murphy on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 18:35:04 from

We actually looked at a house on Christmas St. when we moved here. When our realtor told us about it we ran and did not look back.

Bah! Humbug!

From allie on Thu, Dec 08, 2011 at 18:46:28 from

rob - good choice. too much pressure. too much whoville.
