5 w james. i have no plans at the moment -- just running when i feel like it. no races or workouts for a bit. at some point i will find a focus again, but for now i am celebrating the great october respite (also known as GOR).

longer-term -- i may or may not make an attempt at the OTQ in 2015. i first have to see if i can find myself again, and run a marathon without major bodily failures. step two will be running a non-aided marathon under 2:50. then step three -- committing to the OTQ goal if i think it's within reach. for now, i'm still trying to get my bearings in ATL. moving is hard. y'all.

Well, you definitely have some good options for flat winter/spring marathons in your new region. Plus, you'll be extra hydrated with all the moisture in the air.

Yes. Yes. Yes. I think doing "whatever running" can be beneficial. Eventually you'll feel like getting going.

I imagine Atlanta is infinitely more enjoyable running in the late fall and winter than in the summer. And, hey, you have the Walking Dead starting up again on Sunday, so you can practice outrunning walkers.

It sounds like a solid plan. you and Jason will love Atlanta.

Sounds like a great plan. I am hoping to enjoy the GOR as well. Enjoy the fall!

I like your plan, and your attempt to use the word y'all. It will come more naturally with time. Pretty soon, y'all won't even notice it.

Seems like a great plan to me. Good luck with the new zip code.

Sounds like a great plan. I wonder, have you ever considered starting up a running group there in Atlanta? You are a super smart and experienced runner and would make a great mentor to people who want to try their hand at the half or full marathon or improve their times. I'm serious. Your resume is IMPRESSIVE! Boulder and SLC may be pretty saturated with coaches like that, but there may be a market and fewer Coaches offering a training group there in Atlanta? Just a thought.

Nice run. It is nice sometimes to just run for fun. You are an awesome runner and in time will decide what is best for you in Atlanta.

Allie, it's the 14th of October, what'cha doin'????

From Tara on Tue, Oct 14, 2014 at 19:44:30 from

I will support those goals fully. I think you have a mean OTQ hiding in there. And I still miss you, I'm hoping to get over that soon.:)
