Easy or no 10 miles is nothing to sniff at. Progress is good. Hang in there!

Are you really doing the TOU Half / Alta 8K double next week? You crazy!

From allie on Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at 19:48:41 from 67.177.43.41

JD - dragonfly kills = tally of how many i have killed with my car in my many hours of commuting. and thanks for the reminder...total is now 9 because i got another one last night. so gross.

paul - yes, i am going to attempt the double. it's the only way i still have a chance in the circuit. i am assuming you have done it before...brutal? possibly a bad idea?

That alta peruvian race is sweet, but man will you be sore afterward. You could pick up some sweet points doing both, but you may not be able to walk for a week.

No, this is the first year it's been on the same day. Usually the Peruvian is one week before the TOU Marathon...and I'm still sore for the marathon. Doubling is a grand idea, both terrible and wonderful at the same time. Just keep a lot of ice on hand for afterward.

And be really careful with your injury... I would say be willing to scratch Alta if you hurt after TOU 1/2.
