8

FAIL. Sorry, I couldn't resist. It was all those 8s you ran when you were hurt.

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 10:31:49 from 71.219.102.155

Can I come over for breakfast> I had diet coke.

HAVE A GOOD DAY! Your running is FABULOUS.

From allie on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 10:36:44 from 174.23.226.74

jun - ha! i post these 8-milers just for you...

and i remember those dark winter days of endless 8's. yuck.

kelli - sure, come on over. i have plenty of nectarines to go around!

From KP on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 11:30:59 from 65.208.22.26

more nectarines?!?! my goodness! you do have a good neighbor!

i had a chicken biscuit, hash browns, and a coke for breakfast. yum! have you heard of chik-fil-a? it is heaven on earth for us non-vegetarians! i think it may be a southern chain for the most part though. i spent a summer in minneapolis and couldn't find one ANYWHERE!

From ChrisM on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 11:31:41 from 86.180.142.232

8 in 45mins is great!

did you eat 8 nectarines?

PS (9 is the new 8)

From allie on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 11:40:23 from 174.23.226.74

KP - yes, we have chik-fil-a here in utah. i have never been to one, but i hear it's quite tasty.

chris - i still had 2 miles to go after reaching the 45-minute mark. that was just a checkpoint. i should probably clarify that on my post. if only i could run around at 5:40 pace :)

From Burt on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 12:15:51 from 206.19.214.144

LOL @ Jun. I mean, LOL w/ Jun.

We have Chik-fil-a here, too.

From Bonnie on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 12:23:00 from 64.119.33.134

ha ha ha ... nectarines or chicken biscuit? hmmmmm ;-). I have never been to a chik-fil-a either, but I love their ads! And, I have to admit, I love the smell of fried chicken (even though I haven't eaten chicken in nearly 18 years).

Nectarines are already past their prime here allie, but man they were good last month!!! Plus, the cherry season was especially good too! We are entering tomato season now, yum!

From allie on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 12:52:04 from 174.23.226.74

burt - what in the world does LOL mean?

bonnie - as hard as it is to see the summer slowly slip away, there are definitely good things about fall. tomatoes, corn, zucchini, peaches, apples, chik-fil-a...yum, yum, yum.

From Burt on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 12:58:04 from 206.19.214.144

You of all people should know that it means little old lady.

From Nancy on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 13:54:11 from 76.27.19.206

You are very speedy no matter how far you run. Nectarines sound delicious, but every time I buy them from the store they don't taste that good.

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 14:24:30 from 71.219.102.155

Well, if we are talking Chick-Fil_a then we should all just go get a peach shake for breakfast!!! Better yet, let's wait and meet up at Christmas time and get the peppermint chocolate chip shake.

I topped off my breakfast with a Breyers Coconut popsicle. Then I had to go buy ballet and tap shoes for my 5 year old, so we went and got Chocolate Swiss ice cream with peanut butter cups in it for lunch. I am such a GOOD eater.

And, really, 10 is the new 8.

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 14:26:39 from 71.219.102.155

OH---and I have a big ole yellow squash on my counter. What should I do with it???

From Bonnie on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 14:38:57 from 64.119.33.134

WOW. Even when I was as young as you Kelli, I could never eat like that, you have a great metabolism!

Squash -- cut in half, put a little butter on it and broil it. Or, you can "string" it (cook it and then separate the strings" and use it as a pasta (I have done this when I was trying to stay away from carbs, it did not "take" well, but I loved my squash pasta).

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 14:42:35 from 71.219.102.155

I DO NOT have a good metabolism, that is the problem!!! ;o)

I was thinking olive oil and a little Parmesan cheese???

From RivertonPaul on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 17:26:38 from 67.42.27.114

Ship the squash to Burt.

From Burt on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 18:01:11 from 206.19.214.144

Blech! I'll squash you!

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 18:03:53 from 66.239.250.209

Nice run today. Nectarines are great, but I hope you ate more than that with all of the cals you burned.

From Lily on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 22:00:42 from 67.199.181.73

Don't listen to Wesemann, he's being a hypocrite. He works out hard and doesn't eat enough either. So I say keep on keepin' on Allie girl! :)

From RAD on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 23:15:52 from 67.172.229.125

mmm...

first I was feeling really slow...my 7 miles took me the exact time your 8 took you, and my course is flat compared to sunnyside!! Now I'm just hungry. Good thing hubby drug us to chick fil a yesterday for free kids meal night, or I'd be craving it now! It took all the self-restraint I had not to get a shake - Kelli got me hooked on those!

Oh, and I love spaghetti squash any way you make it! I just poke holes in it and cook it till it's soft. Then I dress it up however I want :)

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 23:51:29 from 71.219.102.155

BAD KELLI!!!!!!
