8 miles. sunnyside up loop again. made it to foothill in 45:16. i will try to beat that next time. this will give me an incentive to push it more on the hills. ran the last mile in 6:21. total time for the run was 1:03 / 7:53 pace.

i had a chicken biscuit, hash browns, and a coke for breakfast. yum! have you heard of chik-fil-a? it is heaven on earth for us non-vegetarians! i think it may be a southern chain for the most part though. i spent a summer in minneapolis and couldn't find one ANYWHERE!

KP - yes, we have chik-fil-a here in utah. i have never been to one, but i hear it's quite tasty.

chris - i still had 2 miles to go after reaching the 45-minute mark. that was just a checkpoint. i should probably clarify that on my post. if only i could run around at 5:40 pace :)

ha ha ha ... nectarines or chicken biscuit? hmmmmm ;-). I have never been to a chik-fil-a either, but I love their ads! And, I have to admit, I love the smell of fried chicken (even though I haven't eaten chicken in nearly 18 years).

Nectarines are already past their prime here allie, but man they were good last month!!! Plus, the cherry season was especially good too! We are entering tomato season now, yum!

bonnie - as hard as it is to see the summer slowly slip away, there are definitely good things about fall. tomatoes, corn, zucchini, peaches, apples, chik-fil-a...yum, yum, yum.

You are very speedy no matter how far you run. Nectarines sound delicious, but every time I buy them from the store they don't taste that good.

Well, if we are talking Chick-Fil_a then we should all just go get a peach shake for breakfast!!! Better yet, let's wait and meet up at Christmas time and get the peppermint chocolate chip shake.

I topped off my breakfast with a Breyers Coconut popsicle. Then I had to go buy ballet and tap shoes for my 5 year old, so we went and got Chocolate Swiss ice cream with peanut butter cups in it for lunch. I am such a GOOD eater.

And, really, 10 is the new 8.

WOW. Even when I was as young as you Kelli, I could never eat like that, you have a great metabolism!

Squash -- cut in half, put a little butter on it and broil it. Or, you can "string" it (cook it and then separate the strings" and use it as a pasta (I have done this when I was trying to stay away from carbs, it did not "take" well, but I loved my squash pasta).

first I was feeling really 7 miles took me the exact time your 8 took you, and my course is flat compared to sunnyside!! Now I'm just hungry. Good thing hubby drug us to chick fil a yesterday for free kids meal night, or I'd be craving it now! It took all the self-restraint I had not to get a shake - Kelli got me hooked on those!

Oh, and I love spaghetti squash any way you make it! I just poke holes in it and cook it till it's soft. Then I dress it up however I want :)
