11 miles. brickyard loop. this is one of my favorite routes that i haven't run since a) i moved and b) i got injured (and those two things just happened to coincide). the loop is now 11 miles instead of 7, but all the scenic sections that i grew to love are still included (like the brickyard).

Sounds pretty! I need to come up to SLC and run because I get so bored in my little town.

I used to run around there but now I live on 14th east. Since I moved I haven't run west of 13th. It's funny how habitual runner's can become.

Nice mileage! Sounds like a good route.

They should really build a plaza at that brickyard. Just saying.

Nice run!

Nice work Allie. I love to see you back at it!

From Andrea on Thu, Aug 04, 2011 at 15:48:58 from

Allie - guess you'll be upping the mileage since your typical run is 3 miles longer now!

Fritz - I don't run west of 13th East either! haha Maybe we should branch out more.

I love an good scenic run :)

From allie on Thu, Aug 04, 2011 at 16:33:40 from

i have now lived in three different places in salt lake city and i still stick to roughly the same three routes on any given week (slightly modified based on location). it's all about time. i have a few "special occasion" routes (like emigration canyon or water wheel) that are more variable so i have to wait for a day when i have more time to play around with.

jd - i've actually thought about purchasing the brickyard and putting a plaza in. i would probably fill it will nail salons and cell phone stores. and maybe a neighborhood grocer that sells serious food at silly prices.

burt - what?

From Nancy on Thu, Aug 04, 2011 at 19:30:17 from

I'm glad your leg is well enough to run your brickyard loop. Nice run.

From DaleG on Thu, Aug 04, 2011 at 21:05:51 from

I want in on the plaza at the brickyard. Send me the details. We'll make a killing.

From Dan on Thu, Aug 04, 2011 at 23:13:42 from

A Familiar route, somehow gives you a second wind as you know there is not a lot left to go, not to mention you know any secret water stops :)

From Lysa on Fri, Aug 05, 2011 at 09:57:29 from

allie, you are awesome. When you're doing your plaza, make sure you put in a questionable chinese food place too. Conspicuous enough that only when 'walking' by you would even notice it.
