ran in the afternoon heat. felt great. i decided to do something EXTREME today so i ran my usual sugarhouse loop in REVERSE. i wore my mizuno flats because i wanted to run down sunnyside as fast as possible. no watch, no pacing. just had fun and went by feel. the only bad part was the pounding down sunnyside did a number on my stomach, so the last mile felt yuck. geez, i swear i have one wussy stomach. it never puts up with me on afternoon runs. and it is in hate with gu.

Yeah I hear you too, my easy run tonight was ruined with a wobbly stomach got to a toilet on time though LOL

MrsFIT - yes, i noticed you are one of the early-birds. i usually like doing my workouts first thing, but sometimes it doesn't work out...then i regret it because my stomach goes all funky on me. on the bright side, it is good training for dealing with a foul stomach during a race!

sam - LOL! sorry about your run but i am glad it ended well. i have seen many a runner who was less fortunate. :0

How Allie, you are adventurous :) My stomach doesn't like afternoon runs either. Shouldn't some of these miles be tracked as marathon pace or faster?

From allie on Tue, Jul 07, 2009 at 23:03:31 from

michelle - yes, i suppose i should change that, as my last two miles were much faster than the rest of the run. i entered easy miles because in general the run was easy-paced...i just got excited at the end. i also may have had a case of lazy blogger syndrome when i posted :)
