21 miles around the city, nice going. Sounds and smells like some good marathon training lately.

If I replicated that run here it would be called the Auto Pedestrian Accident Loop. (We don't take kindly to sidewalks or pedestrians here.)

Why are miles 6 and 7 so close together? Do you just run in circles for a while?

From allie on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 08:46:07 from 174.23.173.137

this would have been a pretty horrendous run during busy traffic hours, but i was running early enough that it wasn't an issue. i only had to stop at one traffic light, and i ran through at least 25.

there was also the peace of mind of having a gas station at every block, just in case i needed to stop for jerky.

that's an excellent question. please hold...

Nice run Allie. Jake's observation is interesting. I don't recall a huge hole or giant hill in that area.

From Jake K on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 08:52:37 from 159.212.71.173

7-8 is like 2 miles, so it balances.

From SlowJoe on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 08:55:55 from 168.215.171.129

See, mile 8 is long though. Clearly just a wrinkle in the space/time continuum. Next time you run through there, can you pick me up some fly MC Hammer pants from the 80s?

From allie on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 09:05:18 from 174.23.173.137

i vaguely remember waving to king kong bundy during that stretch and i think i fell into a very large trench.

anyway, i fixed the map. i re-clocked it on gmap-ped and it did the same thing again, so i used the course tool and that evened it all out. now the mile markers are in blue, so it's a solid improvement.

it would be nice if you could just clock the mileage as you are running.

The time wrinkle occurred at the point in the route closest to the horsepark, which has a a new white horse, who seems to get along with the other horses but that's off topic. He probably had some part in this g-mapping error. Typical white horse.

Awesome week of training Allie.

Nice run Allie! I wish I was there with you...You've had a great couple weeks of training. You are going to be super de duper ready for your bobsled like run down the canyon on the 24th. I'm going to dump gatorade on your head when you cross the finish line. Do you prefer lemon lime or fruit punch?

From allie on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 11:48:33 from 174.23.173.137

fruit punch will look better on my white singlet. make sure it's extra sugary so my hair gets crusty!

From Toby on Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 14:12:53 from 74.81.235.5

Nicely done for a Friday morning Allie! I too smell some excellent marathon training going on! Woot Woot!
