target pace was 4:16-4:20. none of these felt good and my legs kept dying on me around 700m. in theory, these workouts should feel better than they have in the past because i'm going into them more rested and with a lot less mileage on my legs. hoping it was just an off day.

pm - 2 mile walk at lunch; 4 mile walk in the evening to and from a meeting.

track workout at washington high school:

i did 5x800 last month (may 16) and those were 2:50-2:52, so i'm starting to see some progress. i'm also doing shorter recoveries compared to the workouts i did in '13/'14 (200m vs 400m)...although i probably milked those 200s a little too much today. 

temps weren't too bad at ~70 degrees, but the humidity was 92%. i was a human sprinkler with all the water flicking off me. do you know how much sweat a sports bra can hold? it's so gross. a few weeks ago, some of the track club girls were talking about how they have to throw their bras away at the end of the season. now i understand.

3 miles of running + an hour of run/walking with a client + an hour walk home. i didn't run home because i had a bunch of groceries and i hit my mileage for the week (48).

after peachtree on the 4th, i'll start focusing on the half, which means my mileage will go up again. i'm looking forward to getting more volume in. the lower weeks are helping me get the workouts in with more intensity (plus lots of recovery), but i just enjoy the longer distance training more. i miss midweekmidlongs.
