10 X 400M. My legs were tired after a nine hour shift at the bakery, but after 3-4 I was feeling great and finished strong.

Recovery day. I really need to start building up my mileage more, but time is not on my side with how much I have been working lately.

My marathon pace miles are 6:45. A good pace to just barely break the 3 hour mark.

My legs are worn out, so the easy miles are piling up this week. I did get in some stair climbing sets at the Highland High football stadium. HOT.

Ran on the Jordan River Parkway Trail this morning with the SLC Track Club. It was a beautiful run, and nice and cool on the trails. I ran two out-and-back trails and did a few more miles in the surrounding neighborhoods. My legs felt a little stiff at first, but loosened up nicely after a couple of miles and felt strong to the end.

Marathon Goal Pace miles today:

2 mile warm-up

mile 1: 6:45, rest 2:50

mile 2: 6:47, rest 3:25

mile 3: 6:47, rest 3:44

mile 4: 6:48, rest 2:00

3 mile cool-down

The splits are right on for running a sub-three marathon, but I would like to get them down to about 6:35 or 6:40 and have them be more consistent. Today I just wanted to see where I was at.
