track workout at woodland park:

4 x (400m, 200m, 200m)

82, 38, 37

80, 38, 38

81, 38, 39

80, 38, 38

this is a dirt track. there are flagstones marking the start/400m and the 200m, so it worked okay, but i probably won't do anything longer than 800s on this track. recovery was 200m jog with a bit of tired walk-jogging thrown in.

the workout ended up being so violent that it knocked my top bun out. it's so annoying when that happens because i swallow my hair.

pm - 4 miles. mid 70s and sun yay

Nice work. "Violent bun-knocking-out" workout shall henceforth be the title of this workout. It is the second time in 10 minutes I have read the word "violent" too. The previous one was someone telling me in an email they were in "violent agreement" with the proposed action. I had to look it up, having never heard of such an expression. Urban dictionary says it is a thing.

lol! as written is was meant to be the classic definition of violent -- i thought it was fitting since it actually did kncok my hair out even though i had THREE rubber bands.

i do like the the urban dictionary usage though -- i'll have to pull that one into my vocab.

UD so extra

Nice injection of speed.

I was somewhat confused by "my top bun" as I did not think of it as being placement (top, side, low) so much as the terminus in a series of multiple buns. Or perhaps you did have a series of bunettes?

From allie on Thu, Apr 26, 2018 at 21:49:52 from

i don't think i have enough hair to create a series of bunettes, but i'm definitely going to try it out now.

it was one bun on the top of my head -- perhaps i should change it to top-bun for clarity. it looked so fab until it exploded.
