i finally found a faster gear today and was able to get in a nice pre-race workout. kept it very simple.
1 hour run with 2 x 10 min. @ 6:30 pace; 7:30 pace in between. just wanted to do some pace sharpening and remind my legs that race-day turnover needs to be much better than my running as of late. i felt really good - minor shin pain still but i am keeping the ice on it and i don't think it will be a problem...at least i hope! easy for the rest of the week.
