i'd like to offer a loud, inquisitive exclamation in response to the news that you've just taken another step in your journey to woodland this year.

From RAD on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 12:21:09 from 67.171.119.50

woot woot! At least you won't be cold in shorts :)

From Lulu Walls on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 13:06:07 from 155.100.217.244

Yay! I did hear about your single digit shorts running - wow! You just took hardcore-ness to the next level. That or you don't own any pants...

From Jake K on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 13:06:30 from 155.100.226.191

Want me to re-send that xfit PDF I made for you last year?

From allie on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 13:14:08 from 97.126.212.61

jake - no. it's my desktop wallpaper.

lulu - i own shorts, jeans, one skirt, an ugly wedding dress, and a swimming costume. the shorts seem to be the best option for running.

From Jake K on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 13:17:47 from 155.100.226.191

sounds like a little creativity w/ those items (Jean SKort + wedding dress cutoff singlet) could revolutionize running fashion in 2013.

From Andrea on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 13:24:32 from 72.37.171.52

CANCEL and come to Phoenix instead!!! It'll be wayy more fun and Jake already has plans for a party at adult Chuck-E-Cheese (aka Dave and Busters).

From allie on Tue, Jan 08, 2013 at 14:17:11 from 97.126.212.61

i can't cancel. they were mad enough that i paid in pennies.

that should be good to prevent overstriding

I'm excited to see how you do - 1st place female is my guess.

From Lily on Wed, Jan 09, 2013 at 11:43:53 from 67.199.178.95

Penny for your thoughts

Was this Marathon slightly rough for you last year?

From PRE on Wed, Jan 09, 2013 at 16:13:03 from 99.50.213.11

Allie,

I considered that Marathon. I cannot do that. But I would have made it a point to meet you!!! Of course, it would have had to be prior to the race start. Who knows where you would be by the time I got to the finish line? At any rate, it is a marathon I am keeping in mind, so hopefully you will keep running it. Be well.

From Rossy on Wed, Jan 09, 2013 at 19:00:25 from 70.196.193.24

Nice to hear you are going to rock Woodlands again! I actually had dinner with a runner at the MDI Marathon that was finishing up on his 50-state goal and he could not say enough good things about the Woodlands Marathon. It was his home course, his Des News. :-)

From allie on Wed, Jan 09, 2013 at 19:39:47 from 97.126.212.61

lily - yes, it was slightly rough -- my theme for 2012. :)

PRE - definitely one to keep in mind -- it's a great race. when i do finally meet you in person, we'll have to have a pace tat competition. mine are usually smeared because i'm a lefty (which means i'm dysfunctional), but they are smeared with style.

rossy - hi. yes, the woodlands does a great job. their hospitality is off the charts, and i have a harsh meter. i guarantee they would accommodate a special request for mini safety pins. see you at des news.

From Rossy on Thu, Jan 10, 2013 at 07:06:45 from 70.196.194.7

LOL, mini safety pins, now that is hospitality!
