Was it the great Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce?

From allie on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 10:53:13 from

yes. i was protesting the air quality.

From Burt on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 11:06:21 from

Looks like it's a hazy shade of winter.

From JD on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 11:41:02 from

It's a pretty great state!

From Lily on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 12:10:44 from

That is a lot of plank action. I need someah that action.

Snotscicle's anyone? mmm

From allie on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 12:19:22 from

the link i posted earlier used to say "smog" instead of "hazy." they must have found out that i was sending our nasty weather report to people out of state. ksl...

utah *is* a pretty great state, other than the air quality -- which is why i like to protest. i basically just ran around the chamber of commerce building a bunch of times, coughing loudly and holding my throat for dramatic effect. no one had actually made it into work yet, but i am certain it was still effective.

From Bonnie on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 12:27:24 from

Ugh. I remember that ... I could 'taste' the air for weeks. Luckily, you don't have to go too far "up" to get out of it!

I laughed at the thought of you wheezing around the chamber of commerce building ...

From Oreo on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 14:08:52 from

Those wall sits are killa... 1 minute hands above head, 1 minute, hands down, 1 minute alternate 1 foot lifted every 15 seconds, 1 minute to 4... makes me hurt!!

From RAD on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 14:28:18 from

Nice work out in the smog and haze Allie!! Come live in Herriman, we live above it all :) well, almost, kind of. From my house it looks like you're looking down on the valley and the haze and that you are out of it. Whether or not you are is really yet to be determined.

From april27 on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 15:03:55 from

okay I see I need to add side planks and wall sits to my reports every night! noted and game on!

Great job with the 3:15! You rock!

From Merri on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 15:10:41 from

Tomorrow I say you run around the lake.

From nevels on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 15:13:22 from

i agree with merri.

From steve ash on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 16:36:52 from

I agree Allie with the exception of some things.. I have to say I was really proud of SLC for winning the Walmart 1 million dollar challenge on Facebook. It seems that our local food bank is now a million bucks richer. Unofficially though, which reminds I need to check on that now I guess. We may not have the best weather but we definitely have the most caring public on a whole.

From Nancy on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 20:58:21 from

I agree with everyone. Utah is a great place to live. Our air gets bad sometimes in the winter but in the summer and spring it is good. You are really getting into those planks and wall sits. I think you should try for the world record for planks.

From Dan on Wed, Jan 05, 2011 at 21:46:18 from

After yesterdays discussion and todays air quality... why not just run a lap in IKEA.. that has to be 10 miles.

From DonGardinero on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 03:51:13 from

Nice run in the pullution. I can't believe how fast the air quality goes to crap. Back when I was a teenager, many, many years ago, it took several weeks for the air to get as bad as it does in one day now.

My dad and I used to go down to Canyonlands and we could see for miles and miles because the air was so clean. Now we go down and there is a constant haze. :(

Nice plank and side plank and wall sit.

From Lily on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 12:01:09 from

I got an idear. How about we swim the lake?

From Lysa on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 16:17:14 from

I wonder...does ANYONE listen to the warnings to NOT exercise outdoors on red days?? Bc I sure don't. And from the sounds of it on here, none of you do either.

From RAD on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 16:43:11 from

Lysa, I love where I live :) In Herriman you look down on the crud instead of living in it and breathing it. I'm sure it's not wonderful air, but I tell you, it is SO much better than when I drive even just 5 miles down the road!! So, I don't listen to it, but I also don't live in the 'thick' of it.

From Merri on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 16:55:04 from

Oh Lysa I listen. When Mother Nature unleashes her fiery wrath I just shut the door and keep on scrapbookin.

From Lily on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 16:57:33 from

Merri, sooooo when are you going to come over and use your talent to help me scrapbook the bazillion pictures hiding in my crawl space eh?

From Merri on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:00:40 from

ha ha I only wish I had scrapbook talent. :)

From Merri on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:01:18 from

Burt LOVES to scrapbook I bet he'd help you for sure.

From Burt on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:16:51 from

Just as soon as I get my CTR ring out from the bathroom drain.

From Lily on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:17:27 from

You lazy sonofa

From Bonnie on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:26:28 from

I wouldn't let Burt within miles of my scrapbook -- have you seen the pictures he has of all of us???

From Lysa on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 17:48:02 from

Merri, good for you. I should listen, but I never have been good with people telling me what to do.

From allie on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 18:17:23 from

i just finished my scrapbook page of the time all of us went swimming in IKEA right after the mayor of herriman finished uncolgging burt's drain.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 18:56:01 from

I heard a rumor that Burt made a scrapbook page with his chest hair after the manscape. Please post up pics.

From Burt on Thu, Jan 06, 2011 at 19:22:02 from

Scrapbook? Please! They're in a museum.
