20 miles with james on the georgia marathon course. we covered miles 1-5 and 8-21 (roughly).

it was 62 degrees / 97% humidity. i slurped a vanilla goop at ~13 miles and washed it down with a courtesy cup of ice water from mcdonald's. i was not prepared for these conditions and the run wiped me out. it's so different from an ultra-dry environment. sweaty, sticky, yuckers mess.

Nice run. Those conditions sound lovely. At least the humidity probably doesn't harm your health like an inversion.

From allie on Sun, Jan 04, 2015 at 15:15:03 from

true. i do not miss the inversion and i do not miss frozen hands.

Haha, I love the "yuckers mess" description. Sounds like every run here in Sydney summertime :)

Trails of sweat drippings in your house and buttsweat towels for your cars are in your future.

Is there anything McDonald's CAN'T do??

From Rob Murphy on Sun, Jan 04, 2015 at 19:16:31 from

Yep, great description. My 10 days in Florida reminded me of all that.

Nice LR Allie, I bet your skin is loving the yuckiness!

From Smooth on Mon, Jan 05, 2015 at 12:13:21 from

You're awesome no matter the yucker mess! Nice that you got a cup of icy water courtesy of Damacus (what Aussies calls McDonalds). Down under at Aussie land, no freebies, a bottle of water fetches $2.50.

Nice run! This made me smile. Except the Vanilla goop part. That sounds heinous.

Allie woman, you are an "Animal"!

From Yasir on Wed, Jan 07, 2015 at 16:49:08 from

nice long one. You will get use to it may be.

From Nancy on Wed, Jan 07, 2015 at 20:47:16 from

Nice run. I would die if I had to run in those conditions. I would much rather run in freezing cold.

From Jenruns on Thu, Jan 08, 2015 at 09:49:18 from

I ran with frozen hands this morning, in your honor.
