9.5 JAJA miles -- jake and andrea were kind enough to switch days since james and i have new schedules for the upcoming semester. we ran up to tanner park and along the bike path and then ran along wasatch drive. the route offers some great views of the valley, especially when it is still dark. it was a fairly tough run with some good hills, but that is exactly what i need right now. great run this morning.

fieldhouse: weights and core with james.

Great job, love, love, love hills!

we LOVE hills! :) Nice work this morning! I'm glad your schedule is allowing a little more running...and sleep!

I am very curious to know what JAJA pace is. I really am.

Embrace the hills.... did someone say Gabor? :)

hey everyone. thanks for stopping by to say hello -- i've been a terrible blogger lately. i hope you are all doing well.

kelli - today's JAJA was a little longer than normal (we usually go 8, but i think we will be increasing the mileage more as we gear up for spring racing). as for the other days, all of my regular routes are now one mile longer because i moved last week (from one side of liberty park to the other). i like my old routes too much to change them, so i will now be running an extra mile most days of the week. it's my training strategy for 2012.

jacob - no big races until april -- the focus right now is base mileage, dropping a few pounds and slowly getting back in shape.

tara - 8:00/mile -- sometimes slower than that and sometimes a bit faster, but i would say that is our standard pace. we take our time -- easy days are easy!

lily! hey lily.

That is a GREAT training strategy. Maybe I should move to Sandy, give myself about 80 more miles a week. i could be like Jake.
