8 miles. sunnyside down.

running the flat as a pancake 5k in west jordan tomorrow. another brilliant idea from james. i think this distance is growing on me, and it forces me into doing some type of workout at least once or twice per month.

5k = short and painful, but oddly fun for us "long distance" folks (in a weird, masochistic, running sort of way... not to mention that you don't feel nearly as blasted afterward...)

From Snoqualmie on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 11:12:25 from

I hope you have another good one!

From PRE on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 11:41:48 from

Well good luck with the 5K.

Are you planning to PR? go sub-18?

Or just running the 5K with no particular thoughts of a PR?

From Burt on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 12:40:07 from

Work it girl.

From Rob on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 13:50:21 from

Good luch tomorrow, if anything these 5k's are good speed workouts.

From Chad Robinson on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 14:02:55 from

That's the old West Jordan High Cross Country course. I got a 17:03 on that course back in 1992 (I graduated from there in 1993). The dirt road along the canal is fun and it is a fast course (unless you have a super heavy north or south wind). Good luck.

From catherine on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 14:26:43 from

From Dan on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 15:16:16 from

I'd say good luck, but we all know that has nothing to do with it! I look forward to seeing your race report... now don't hold back any 5K faces or grimaces

From Seth on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 15:28:14 from

From Teena Marie on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 15:34:20 from

Have fun tomorrow!! :)

Do you know what the course is? I think you will be dealing with a serious wind from the south.

No worries ... you'll kill it!!! :) :) :)

From JD on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 15:39:41 from

Good luck, Allie! it turns out that our races tomorrow are not one in the same...west jordan...west valley. But if you gobble loud enough i'm sure I could catch wind of it!

Next week for sure!

From Rossy on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 20:56:36 from

Hope you avoid the showers and wind tomorrow (on second thought, the weather might be fun). Best of luck!

From AmberG on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 21:55:22 from
