the plan was to do some 800s and mile repeats today, but i didn't have it in me. my left foot is still bothering me...i am pretty sure it is my cuboid bone. i am monitoring it closely because the last thing i want or need right now is to be out with a stress fracture. it is very sensitive and painful at times, and other times it is not. it always takes a few strides when i begin to run before the pain gradually subsides. today it was acting up again so i decided it wouldn't be smart to pound out a speed workout. i ran at a comfortable 7:50 pace and just took it easy. i thoroughly enjoyed the weather. everyone was out and about in their shorts like it's september. it's nice.

was hoping to get more miles in today but i was happy with the quality of the ones i did get in. i love running on mondays because i am well-rested and my legs feel fresh and strong. i ran before work, then ran to work and home again, as well as to the grocery store, trying to get in as much running as possible. it ended up amounting to 9 miles...i was hoping i got in at least 10, but the course tool rules all until i can afford a more sophisticated timing device...a.k.a. garmin. i still have the rest of the week ahead so it should be ok. 65?? 70?? hopefully 70 but we'll see. i should get in some decent mileage tomorrow along with some 800s. goodnight.
